For my video, I wanted to reproduce a well-known dialogue that relates an important message (that you would expect to be spoken in person) and adapted it as a cell phone conversation. I did this so that I could show that our modern society has an obsession and a need to be connected with each other and have instant modes of communication. In my opinion, our reliance on technologies like cell phones is creating an antisocial society. Face to face conversations and confrontations can now be avoided by simply calling someone on a cell phone instead and having the security of being able to cut the conversation short at any time, move to any location and talk without having a specific time or place to meet. In my opinion, this is creating a downward spiral for society.

Digital Photography Project
Daily Medicine- Technology in our daily lives
In these five photos, I selected five items that almost every person owns or knows how to use and photographed them in a well known advertising style. I recreated photos in a similar style to the ever-present Apple advertising, to emphasize the vast bombardment and encouragement of technology in our daily lives through advertising.
Artist Statement
A Theme: Human Interaction with Technology
In recent years, technology has really taken an importance in the daily lives of practically every person in the world.
Technology has become a presence in just about every moment of any person's life on any given day. How many people do you know that don't walk around with a cellphone all the time, or don't own a computer, or don't have an ipod or other music player? Most people are truly addicted to their technology and couldn't imagine a day going by without access to the internet, instant communication, etc.
As the world progresses, technology seems to be steadily taking control of the planet. In the past, the idea of the cyborg was more or less a humourous topic. But as technology progresses, becoming a cyborg is actually a possibility for a human if they desire it.
Technology has become more than convenience, progress, luxury, or even just a commodity. It has become an addiction, a necessity and an obsession. Throughout my work, I will be looking at how this obsession and connection with technology affects us and our lives as people.
